Activity Remarks: The Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) of the "Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor" is responsible for implementing government policy regarding support and encouragement of industrial research and development (R&D).
Most of the support and incentive programs in Israel are governed by the "Law for the Encouragement of Industrial Research and Development - 1984*," ("the Law").
The purpose of the Law is to encourage Israeli companies to invest in R&D projects, with the government sharing in the risk inherent in such projects.
This edition also includes a detailed description of the international agreements for R&D - Cooperation.
Special Details:Israel has established bi-national industrial R&D agreements with many foreign countries.
